Affirming and collaborative care where you can be yourself

Thanks for visiting

Hello, I’m Alexander (He/Him) a queer therapist, art and poetry lover, gardener, nature enthusiast, and boardgame nerd.

I am based in Modesto, located within California’s central valley, and work with LGBTQ+ folks who are facing stressors and trauma (especially religious trauma), who feel overwhelmed, or are struggling with burnout.

My goal is to create a space where you can show up authentically, be heard, develop bravery, and move back into the world with less stress and more confidence.

  • "Before you tell your life what you intend to do with it, listen for what it intends to do with you. Before you tell your life what truths and values you have decided to live up to, let your life tell you what truths you embody, what values you represent."

-Parker Palmer, Let Your Life Speak

  • "Have patience with everything that remains unsolved in your heart. Try to love the questions themselves...at present you need to live the question. Perhaps you will gradually, without even noticing it, find yourself experiencing the answer...”

-Rainer Maria Rilke, Letters to a Young Poet

  • "It is better to cry than to worry, better to feel your wounds deeply than to understand them...you need to let your wounds go down into your heart. Then you can live them through and find that they will not destroy you. Your heart is greater than your wounds."

-Henri Nouwen, The Inner Voice of Love

  • “What were you before you met me?"......."I think I was drowning"........."And what are you now?"..............."Water”

-Ocean Vuong, On Earth We're Briefly Gorgeous

  • "...there was a new voice which you slowly recognized as your own, that kept you company as you strode deeper and deeper into the world, determined to do the only thing you could do -- determined to save the only life you could save.”

    -Mary Oliver, Excerpt The Journey
